VPN Setup Wizard - Mac OSX



We recommend to setup IKEv2 VPN using the built-in macOS VPN client that supports L2TP/IPsec and IKEv2. The new IKEV2 VPN protocol is very fast and secure. A good alternative to IKev2 is to download and install, fast and secure OpenVPN app.


STEP 1. Choose your VPN


STEP 2. IKEv2 OSX installation

Before we start an active Zoog VPN subscription is required and your device must be connected to Internet.

IKEv2 is only available on Mac OS 10.11 and above.

Step 1 - Click on 'System Preferences'

Click on 'System Preferences' on your Mac's dock.

Step 2 - Click on 'Network' Icon

In 'System Preferences' window, click on 'Network' icon.

Step 3 - Create VPN Connection

Click '+' to create new VPN connection.

Step 4 - Select Interface & Enter Service Name

For 'Interface' select 'VPN', for 'VPN Type' select 'IKEv2' and for 'Service Name' enter 'ZoogVPN IKEv2'. Once entered click on 'Create' button.

Step 5 - VPN Settings

For 'Server Address' and 'Remote ID' enter the server address for the server from the list below.


Please login into your account to select a VPN server.


Click on the 'Authentication Settings...' button.

Step 6 - Change 'Authentication Settings'

Under 'Authentication Settings' enter your ZoogVPN 'Username' and 'Password'. Once entered click the 'OK' button.

Step 7 - Apply VPN Settings

Click the 'Apply' button on the main 'Network' window. That's it! You can now connect to ZoogVPN IKEv2 by clicking on the 'Connect' button.

Step 8 - Connected to ZoogVPN IKEv2

Once you are connected, you should see 'Status: Connected' on the top of the 'Network' window. In order to disconnect from ZoogVPN IKEv2, simply click on 'Disconnect' button.

Check that the flag next to your username has now turned to your desired server country flag. You may need to press 'Refresh' button for it to appear.

Enjoy! You can now access numerous online streaming services, and browse the Internet with privacy and security.
