How to turn a PC into a VPN hotspot?
Guide for Windows:
1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile hotspot and toggle your Mobile Hotspot to On.
2. Go to Settings > Network and Internet > Change adapter Options > Find ZoogVPN Network Adapter, right-mouse click on it, and select “Properties” from the drop-down menu.
Please also keep in mind that 1 new connection has also been created, which is your hotspot connection. That connection should be named like “Local Area Connection”.
3. Under the Sharing tab in “Properties”, check the box for “Allow other network users to connect” through this computer’s internet connection. From the dropdown menu, select the hotspot you just created.
4. Click OK.
5. Connect to a VPN server from the ZoogVPN application.
6. Connect to created hotspot other devices.
Guide for Mac:
1. Create a PPTP connection on your Mac device.
2. Open “System Preferences”:
3. Find and select the “Sharing” section.
In the left column on the “Sharing” page, check the box for “Internet Sharing.”
From the “Share your connection from” dropdown menu, select the PPTP connection you just created.
In the “To computers using” list, choose “Wi-Fi.”
4. Click on “Wi-Fi Options” and enter the following details:
Network Name: create a network name
Channel: leave default
Security: WPA2 Personal
Password: create a password for your connection
Verify: re-enter the password
Click “OK”.
5. In the “Sharing” tab, check the box next to “Internet Sharing”.
Click on “Start” to start Internet Sharing.
6. Connect your other devices to the created VPN hotspot.
