Before we start an active ZoogVPN subscription is required and your device must be connected to the Internet.
Mikrotik Router L2TP Installation
To prevent DNS-Leaks you should enter a static DNS server. We use Google’s 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. as primary and secondary DNS.
Step 1 – Find PPP tab
Find the PPP tab in the interface and press “+”, then select PPTP Client
Step 2 – Name your connection
In the pop-up window, go to the General tab and name your connection.
Step 3 – Configure connection
Then go to the Dial Out tab, and here we configure the basic parameters of the connection to the remote server:
Connect to: specify the IP address of the remote server (e.g. nl.free.zoogvpn.com or de1.zoogvpn.com)
User and password: Enter your Zoog VPN username and password
That’s all, press apply.

Step 2 – Name your connection
In the window that appears, go to the General tab and give your connection a name.
Step 3 – Configure connection
Then go to the Dial Out tab, here we configure the basic parameters of the connection to the remote server:
Connect to: specify the IP address of the remote server (e.g. nl.free.zoogvpn.com or de1.zoogvpn.com)
Enter your ZoogVPN username and password
Check Use IPsec and enter IPsec Secret: ZoogVPN
