Chrome OS Setup

Before we start an active ZoogVPN subscription is required and your device must be connected to the Internet.

Сhoose the preffered VPN protocol:

Step 1 – Sign in to your Chromebook

Step 2 – Click your account photo

Step 3 – Click Settings

Step 4 – In the ‘Network’ section, click ‘Add connection’

Step 5 – Click ‘Add L2TP’

Fill in the form with the following information:

Server hostname: Choose a VPN server to enter the Server Address (hostname). You can find all available server addresses in your account here. For example server address can look like this: nl.free.zoogvpn.com

To ensure fast internet speed, it’s recommended to connect to the nearest VPN server.

Service name: ZoogVPN L2TP

Provider type: L2TP/IPsec + Pre-shared key

Pre-shared key: ZoogVPN

Server CA certificate: Default

User certificate: None installed

Username and Password: Enter your ZoogVPN account credentials. Your username is basically the email address of your ZoogVPN account. Your password is the password you used when creating your ZoogVPN account.

OTP: leave blank

Group name: leave blank

Step 6 – Click ‘Connect’

Enjoy! You have now taken control of your Internet freedom, privacy, and security.

Step 1 – Download ‘Configuration File’

On your Chromebook download OpenVPN Configuration Files according to your VPN Plan. Unzip the archive file and save the folder on your device for later use.

Step 2 – Go to ‘Certificate Settings’

In a new tab, enter chrome://settings/certificates into your browser’s address bar and tap the ‘Authorities’ Tab.

Step 3 – Import Configuration File

Press the ‘Import’ button and choose the configuration file you just downloaded.

Step 4 – Confirm All Settings

In the dialog that appears, check all of the settings as shown and click OK.

Step 5 – Installation of Configuration File

The configuration will automatically open and install itself on your Chrome device.

Step 6 – Complete Installation

Restart your device to ensure the changes will take effect.
