We are excited to announce that our Linux app is officially out, and it is ready for you right now. It was a long and difficult process, but we made it, and we are proud of the result: a fast, reliable VPN built for your Linux system.
The app works on Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora, on both regular 64-bit computers and ARM devices like the Raspberry Pi. It includes a built-in command-line tool, so you can log in, connect, switch servers, and change settings right from the terminal. It works just as well on a desktop as it does on a headless server. Press Tab while typing and the app will suggest commands for you, so you don’t need to remember them.
You can choose the protocol that suits you best. Auto picks the right one for you; UDP is the fastest, TCP is more stable on weak connections, and Shadow helps you get online on networks that block regular VPNs. The app also has a built-in ad blocker, can connect automatically when it starts, and can reconnect to your last server. If you are in China, Iran, Egypt, Russia, or Turkmenistan, special settings help the app keep working even where the internet is heavily restricted. All our official installers are signed with our public GPG key, so you can be sure they really come from us.
